Candle Safety Instructions

Burning candles create warmth and atmosphere, but they require careful attention.
Failure to follow safety rules may lead to fire hazards or injuries.

General Safety Rules

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Even for a minute. This is the most important rule.

Always extinguish all candles when leaving the room or going to sleep.

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets. They may accidentally knock them over,

burn themselves, or try to taste the wax. Candle materials are not edible and must never be

consumed.

Candles may contain herbs or fragrances. If you have allergies or sensitivities, be cautious when

burning scented candles.

Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant, non-flammable surface. Use proper candle holders

made of ceramic, glass, or metal.
✏️ Additional note: Ensure that nothing prevents the candle from burning freely in an upright

position.

Candles may flicker due to drafts or changing air flow. This is normal, but monitor the flame to ensure it burns evenly. If the flame becomes too strong, extinguish the candle. Candles with metal bases or holders should be placed only on heat-resistant surfaces (e.g., ceramic trays or plates filled with water).

Do not place candles near flammable materials, such as curtains, drapes, paper, books, textiles, or furniture. Keep a distance of at least 30 cm.

Do not place candles in high-traffic areas or drafty locations, where they could be easily knocked over.

Do not light candles near flammable liquids or gases, such as aerosol cans, hairspray, gasoline, or solvents.

Rules Related to Candle Use

Do not let a candle burn too long. Excessive burning may overheat the candle holder and cause it to crack or ignite surrounding objects.
The recommended maximum continuous burn time is no more than 1–2 hours (or according to the specific candle instructions).
Use an appropriate holder so melted wax does not overflow.

Monitor the condition of the candle holder. Do not use holders with cracks, chips, or damage.

Allow the candle to burn to a full melt pool at least once. This ensures proper performance. If the candle extinguishes before fully melting, relight it.

How to Properly Extinguish a Candle

Do not blow out the candle. This may cause hot wax splatter or sparks and may disrupt the energetic program of the candle.

Use a candle snuffer. This is the safest method.

● If you don’t have a snuffer, you may carefully cover the candle with a non-flammable lid, or dip the wick into the melted wax using a metal tool (e.g., tweezers).

Ensure the candle is fully extinguished and not smoldering.

In Case of Fire

Do NOT extinguish a fire with water.

● If the fire is small and you feel confident, you may try to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher, sand, or a thick cloth (e.g. a blanket).

● If the fire cannot be controlled — evacuate immediately.

● Call the fire department.

Remember: Safety is the most important thing!

By following these simple rules, you can enjoy the beauty and comfort of burning candles without risk to yourself or others.
